Coaching Course 2:
Objective
By the end of the course
you will understand the general principles involved in training for physical
performance, know some of the underlying theory associated with the learning
(and teaching) of physical skills and be able to apply these in your role as a
BKFA instructor.
Content
This will be accomplished
by looking at:
Physical skills: skill defined, skill classified, skill and ability, information processing, motor output and feedback, individual differences, fundamental movement patterns, phychomotor abilities
Principles of learning and teaching physical skills: stimulus response, motor learning and feedback, transfer of learning, teaching styles, modes of presentation, guidance, types of practices
Social influences: teams, leadership, social facilitation, aggression in sport, motivation, attribution
Optimising performance: inverted U theory, relaxation, metal practice
